Presenter Information

Podium Presenter Guidelines

Each podium presentation will be no more than 9 minutes. A maximum of 3 minutes will be allotted at the end of each presentation for questions. Session chairs will be instructed to strictly adhere to this presentation schedule.

Please use PowerPoint to prepare your presentation. Have your presentation on a USB drive and bring it to the Speaker Ready Room for upload no later than 4:00 pm the day prior to your presentation. When naming your presentation file, please include your last and first name for ease of retrieval. We encourage you to refer to the conference program (will be posted online soon), to inform yourself on the session name, time, and room that you will be presenting in. If your presentation is linked to images and videos, have copies in the same folder as your PowerPoint file. Take the time to carefully review your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room. It is also recommended that you create a PDF of your presentation, as backup. Arrive at your session room no less than 5 minutes before the session begins. Please introduce yourself to the session chairs and ensure that your presentation is loaded.

Poster Presenter Guidelines

All poster presenters will have a maximum space of 4 ft. x 4 ft. to display their poster, however, we recommend a poster slightly smaller than this to allow other material, such as handouts, to be pinned to the board if desired. Please prepare your poster so that it can be viewed from a distance of 3 feet.

We also recommend:

  • Keeping text to a minimum and ensure large font
  • Use graphs, charts, and/or tables
  • Ensure content has a logical flow
  • Make it colourful

Removal of posters at the end of the display period is the responsibility of the author(s). Posters not removed by the deadline will be disposed of by meeting staff.
